The Propspeed Foulfree Multi-Surface Medium Kit provides biocide-free foul-release protection for compatible underwater components, including RIB tubes and yacht stabilizer fins. With coverage of up to 21.5 ft² / 2 m², FFKITMS-M includes the cleaner, primer, clear coat, preparation pads and brushes required for a complete application.

Before ordering, measure the entire application area and confirm the component’s substrate or factory finish. Foulfree Multi-Surface is compatible with selected plastics, composites, OEM outboard paint, Hypalon/CSPE and PVC. Bronze, stainless steel and uncoated aluminum require the appropriate standard Propspeed system instead.

Propspeed Foulfree clear coating applied to a compatible RIB tube

How Foulfree Multi-Surface Protection Works

Propspeed Foulfree Multi-Surface is a clear, biocide-free foul-release coating developed for compatible underwater components. Instead of relying on conventional biocidal antifouling action, the cured silicone surface uses its physical properties to make it more difficult for marine organisms to establish a strong hold.

The complete system combines MSclean surface preparation, MSprime adhesion and Foulfree Clear Coat protection. Correct substrate selection, surface preparation, application timing and curing are essential. This Medium kit covers up to 21.5 ft² / 2 m² and is intended for compatible underwater components—not for coating an entire boat hull.

Multi-Surface System

One coordinated cleaning, priming and clear-coating process can be used across multiple approved plastics, composites, flexible tube materials and compatible factory-coated surfaces.

Clear Component Protection

The clear Foulfree coating helps retain the appearance of compatible underwater components while creating a slick foul-release surface that supports easier routine cleaning.

Correct Application Matters

Thorough preparation, thin and even coats, correct overcoat timing and the complete cure period are essential for adhesion and reliable performance.

Measure the total component area before ordering. If the project includes different metals, plastics, factory coatings or a transducer, confirm whether more than one Propspeed system is required.

Foul-Release Protection for Compatible Underwater Components

Use the Propspeed Foulfree Multi-Surface Medium Kit on manufacturer-approved components and substrates where marine growth can increase drag, interfere with movement or make regular cleaning and maintenance more difficult.

Propspeed Foulfree Medium Kit FAQs

What does the Propspeed Foulfree Multi-Surface Medium Kit cover?
The Propspeed Foulfree Multi-Surface Medium Kit covers up to 21.5 ft² / 2 m² when applied according to current manufacturer guidance. Measure every side and surface that will be coated before ordering, and allow for component shape, application conditions and normal product waste.
What is included in the FFKITMS-M Medium Kit?
FFKITMS-M includes one Removal Pad, one Prep Pad, 240 ml of MSclean, 240 ml of MSprime, 240 ml of Foulfree Clear Coat and two application brushes. Protective equipment, lint-free cloths, masking tape and any required plastic scraper must be supplied separately.
Is Foulfree Multi-Surface the same as conventional antifouling paint?
No. Propspeed Foulfree Multi-Surface is a clear, biocide-free foul-release coating rather than conventional biocidal antifouling paint. Its cured silicone surface makes it more difficult for marine growth to establish a strong hold on compatible underwater components.
Can the Foulfree Medium Kit be used on RIB tubes?
Yes, Foulfree Multi-Surface may be used on compatible Hypalon/CSPE and PVC RIB tube surfaces. Confirm the actual tube material and follow the RIB manufacturer's cleaning, abrasion and coating instructions before application.
Can Foulfree Multi-Surface be applied to yacht stabilizer fins?
Yes, the Medium Kit is intended for larger compatible underwater-component applications such as yacht stabilizer fins. Confirm whether the fin is fiberglass, carbon fiber, plastic, factory-coated metal or another approved substrate before beginning preparation.
Which substrates are compatible with Foulfree Multi-Surface?
Compatible substrate examples include fiberglass, carbon fiber, ABS, POM/Delrin, polypropylene, nylon, Plexiglass, polycarbonate, acrylic, HDPE, GFR polyester, compatible OEM outboard paint, Hypalon/CSPE and PVC. Always verify the component's exact material or factory finish before application.
Can Foulfree Multi-Surface be used on bronze, stainless steel or aluminum?
Do not apply the Foulfree Multi-Surface system directly to bronze, stainless steel or uncoated aluminum. These underwater metal surfaces require the appropriate standard Propspeed coating system. Factory-painted aluminum must be verified as a compatible OEM-coated surface before preparation.
Can FFKITMS-M be applied over OEM outboard paint?
Foulfree Multi-Surface may be applied to compatible OEM outboard paint. Confirm that the existing finish is secure and that the component manufacturer permits the required cleaning and light surface preparation. Do not apply the system directly to exposed or uncoated aluminum.
How long should MSprime dry before applying Foulfree Clear Coat?
Allow MSprime to dry for at least 10 minutes before applying Foulfree Clear Coat. Under the current application instructions, the clear coat should be applied within 1 hour of priming while the surface remains clean and free from contamination.
How long must Foulfree Multi-Surface cure before launch?
Allow the completed Foulfree Multi-Surface system to cure for at least 12 hours before launch under standard conditions. In colder conditions around 41–55°F / 5–13°C, allow a minimum curing period of 24 hours.
What is the difference between the Foulfree Small and Medium Kits?
The Foulfree Multi-Surface Small Kit contains 60 ml components and covers up to 5.4 ft² / 0.5 m². The Medium Kit contains 240 ml components and covers up to 21.5 ft² / 2 m². Choose the kit according to the verified substrate and complete measured coating area.
Is FFKITMS-M the correct kit for a marine transducer?
Use the dedicated Foulfree for Transducers Kit, MPN FFKIT, for approved marine-transducer applications. The Foulfree Multi-Surface Medium Kit should not be treated as a larger substitute because the transducer kit uses a dedicated preparation system and application format.
Can opened Foulfree Clear Coat be stored and reused later?
Do not plan to reuse previously exposed Foulfree Clear Coat. The clear coat is moisture curing, and exposure to air can affect the remaining material. Select a kit size that closely matches the measured application area and follow the current manufacturer guidance.
How do I confirm that FFKITMS-M is the correct kit before ordering?
Confirm the component type, exact substrate or factory finish, condition of the existing coating, complete application area and available curing time. FFKITMS-M is intended for compatible underwater components covering up to 21.5 ft² / 2 m² and is not designed for whole-hull applications.
