Three-Speed Underwater Propulsion
The Nautica Navtech 2 provides three selectable speed settings, allowing the operator to adjust the underwater pace for swimming, snorkeling or qualified diving use. Speed changes are controlled through the operating triggers, while releasing the required controls stops the propeller.
Maximum Speed up to 3.7 MPH
The Navtech 2 has a published maximum speed of up to 3.7 mph/6 km/h. Actual operating speed can vary according to the selected setting, operator posture, physical build, diving-equipment configuration, battery charge and surrounding water conditions.
Extended Normal and Continuous Runtime
The supplied battery supports up to 75 minutes of normal intermittent use or up to 30 minutes of continuous operation. These figures describe different activation patterns and should not be treated as guaranteed dive times. Speed setting, load, water conditions, battery condition and usage pattern can affect actual runtime.
Removable Lithium-Ion Battery
The Navtech 2 uses a removable and replaceable 21.9V 10.4Ah lithium-ion battery. The standard Navtech 2 battery is compatible with the Navtech 2 and Navtech 3, while the optional Navtech 1 battery may only be used with the additional buoyancy components specified in the manual.
Approximately 5.5–6.5-Hour Recharge Time
A fully discharged standard Navtech 2 battery takes approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours to recharge with the specified charger. Charging time can vary according to battery condition and charging conditions. The charger indicator changes from red during charging to green when charging is complete.
Water-Leak Warning Sensor
The built-in water-leak sensor operates while the propeller is turning. If accidental flooding is detected, the motor stops momentarily and an audible warning sounds every 10 seconds. The operator should stop using a unit with suspected leakage and follow the inspection and service instructions provided in the manual.
Protective Propeller Grilles
Front and rear protective grilles enclose the Navtech 2 propeller area. The grilles must remain installed during normal operation and should only be removed for maintenance after the master switch is turned off and the battery pod is disconnected. Hands, hair, clothing and equipment must always be kept away from the propeller.
The official package includes the seascooter, its rechargeable power system, buoyancy-adjustment components, and essential setup and care accessories.
The seascooter has a camera-mount system, but an action camera and camera-mounting screw are not included.

Use only the specified charger. Charging a fully discharged Navtech 2 battery takes approximately 5.5–6.5 hours. The charger indicator is red while charging and green when charging is complete. Disconnect the charger from the wall before disconnecting it from the battery.
Recharge the battery after each use. For storage, remove the battery from the seascooter and follow the manual’s partially charged, cool, dry, and well-ventilated storage guidance. Recharge it at least once every six months.
Rinse the seascooter with fresh water immediately after use whenever possible and allow it to dry before storage. Do not use detergents; use a damp cloth for cleaning. Keep the inside of the battery housing dry.
Keep all seals and sealing surfaces clean, undamaged, and fully lubricated with silicone grease whenever the inner nose cone or vent plug is replaced. Close the vent plug and latches completely.
The unit is designed for neutral-to-positive buoyancy in seawater. It becomes less buoyant in freshwater or pools and may sink. Check buoyancy under controlled conditions before use and never release the seascooter in the water.
The Navtech 2 must not be operated by anyone under 16. Scuba use is limited to qualified divers with appropriate certification. It is designed for one-person operation and must not be treated as a life-saving device or buoyancy aid.
Operate the seascooter only in water and never in reverse. Keep hair, clothing, equipment, and body parts away from the propeller area. Do not attach the seascooter to the body or clothing. Inspect the water area and account for boats, swimmers, tides, currents, weather, visibility, and return-battery requirements.
The battery is a 21.9V 10.4Ah lithium-ion battery. Its calculated energy is:

Current FAA passenger guidance prohibits lithium-ion batteries exceeding 160Wh on passenger aircraft. Therefore, the standard Navtech 2 battery is not permitted in normal passenger carry-on or checked baggage. Contact the carrier about compliant dangerous-goods cargo arrangements if transportation by air is required.
The Nautica Navtech 2 Seascooter is intended for adult swimmers, snorkelers, and qualified scuba divers who need more control than a single- or two-speed underwater scooter provides. Its three speed settings reach a published maximum of 3.7 mph (6 km/h), while its 130 ft (40 m) equipment rating places it above the Navtech 3’s 100-foot rating.
This model is particularly relevant when the buyer wants a balance between the other two Navtech models. Compared with the Navtech 3, it provides an additional speed setting, a higher depth rating, and a larger battery. Compared with the Navtech 1, it is lighter, recharges sooner, and has a lower current Mariners Warehouse price, although it also has less speed and runtime.
The most important buying limitation is its battery. The removable 21.9V 10.4Ah lithium-ion battery calculates to approximately 227.8Wh, which exceeds the FAA’s 160Wh passenger-aircraft limit. This makes the Navtech 2 unsuitable for normal passenger-air baggage.
Choose this Professional Dive Series seascooter only when its age guidance, battery logistics, weight, recharge time, water conditions, and performance ratings fit the user’s existing training and dive plan. It is not a flotation device, rescue product, or substitute for appropriate certification and safe diving procedures.
