The Nautica Marine 500 Seascooter is a compact dual-thruster underwater scooter created for personal recreational swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving by qualified divers. Its three selectable speed settings provide controlled underwater propulsion up to 3.5 mph (5.6 km/h), while the product carries a maximum depth rating of 100 ft (30 m).
A replaceable 25.2V, 5Ah lithium-ion battery provides up to 45 minutes of operation under normal use or up to 35 minutes of continuous operation. Charging takes approximately three hours. The complete unit weighs 8.8 lb (4 kg) with the battery installed, making it substantially easier to carry than many larger lead-acid Marine Series models.
Dual triggers operate the thrusters, while the master switch, protective propeller grilles and battery-level indicator support controlled operation. An integrated camera mount allows a compatible sports camera to be attached, although the camera, housing, buckle and thumb screw are not included.

The Marine 500 uses dual thrusters and three selectable speed settings to provide controlled propulsion up to 3.5 mph. Both triggers start the thrusters; the manual explains how individual trigger inputs support speed changes and turning.
Replaceable Lithium-Ion Battery
Its removable 25.2V, 5Ah lithium-ion battery supports up to 45 minutes under normal use and approximately three-hour charging. The four-level LED indicator helps the user check remaining battery capacity before and during a session.
Lightweight Recreational-Dive Design
At 8.8 lb (4 kg) including the battery, the Marine 500 is compact enough for easier dock, boat and shoreline handling. Its 100 ft rating describes the unit’s operating limit—not a recommendation for an unqualified person to dive to that depth.
Integrated Camera Mount
An integrated camera mount supports compatible sports-camera setups for underwater recording. The camera, waterproof housing, buckle and thumb screw must be obtained separately and checked for compatibility before use.
Seawater-Oriented Buoyancy System
The manual states that the Marine 500 is designed for seawater. It has less buoyancy and may sink when released in freshwater, lakes or pools, so it must never be treated as a flotation or life-saving device.
The current source set consistently confirms the main unit, lithium-ion battery, charger and manual.
The official Nautica Seascooters product page and B&H also list one pump, but Nautica.com omits it. Confirm the current US carton before adding the pump to the published list.

The Nautica Marine 500 Seascooter is most suitable for an operator who wants more speed and a lighter lithium-powered design than the lead-acid models lower in the Marine Series. Its dual-thruster configuration, three speed settings and 3.5 mph maximum speed provide a meaningful step up for recreational snorkeling and qualified scuba use.
Its most important buying advantage is the balance between underwater performance and transport weight. At 8.8 lb including the battery, this Marine 500 underwater scooter is easier to carry than heavier lead-acid models. The tradeoff is runtime: the exact manual lists up to 45 minutes under normal use and up to 35 minutes when used continuously.
Buyers must also understand its buoyancy limitation. The unit is designed for seawater and may have insufficient buoyancy in pools, lakes and other freshwater. It must not be released, left floating unattended or used as a life-saving device.
Choose NAE23500 when three-speed control, dual thrusters, lithium power and lower land weight are the priorities. Select a different model if you need longer runtime, a product for an operator under 16 or equipment intended for commercial use.

The Marine 500 Carbon seascooter exceeded my expectations during offshore reef dives. Pulling smoothly at 4.3 mph with its 3-speed control makes conserving air effortless down to 130 ft. The carbon finish looks incredible and holds up well against saltwater wear.
The battery life easily gives a solid 80–90 minutes of active run time per charge. Underwater buoyancy and speed control are precise. It is a bit heavy to carry up the boat ladder, but once submerged, it maneuvers effortlessly.
The integrated GoPro mount and auto-buoyancy control make capturing steady underwater footage simple. Charging time is surprisingly fast for a high-capacity lithium-ion unit. Packaging from Mariners Warehouse was top notch and arrived fully intact.
Fast, responsive dual-trigger setup that prevents accidental throttle activation. Used it across multiple wreck dives this season without a glitch. Future buyers should always lubricate the O-rings and rinse with fresh water post-dive to keep the vacuum seal tight.
Upgraded to the 500 Carbon from an entry-level seascooter and the difference in thrust is night and day. Traverses strong current lines without straining the motor. Highly recommend for any serious diver looking for extended range.
